King and Queen for 2013
My name is Terry Newman and I am King 2013 of the Krewe of Komova. I am a life long resident of Lake Charles and love being from swLouisiana. I take pride in my Cajun culture and heritage. I am a proud Wildcat graduate of Lake Charles High School and also attended McNeese State University and now attending Sowela Community College earning an associates in computer drafting and design technology. I work as a bartender at Old Town Tavern on Kirkman Street, Lake Charles, LA. My hobbies is all water sports, cooking and entertaining friends and guests, exercising, and I love music and singing karaoke. I am very honored to be you King and also to have a beautiful and special friend Queen Renee. I like seeing all the krewe members enjoying all krewe special events and parties. I know that we are known and recognized by many as being one of the top and enjoyable krewes in Lake Charles, LA. We are know for our close friendships and pride in our krewe and also having the best Mardi Gras balls. Again, thank you for the honor of being your King.
Renee has been affiliated with the krewe almost from the start of The Krewe of Komova and she previously served on court for Steve and Cindy Ward (King and Queen in 2009) in the title of The Duchess of Whatever. Renee has worked for Cintas as service sales rep for the last ten and a half years. Renee has a two and a half year old daughter named Jolie Leblanc Prosser, who is a Border collie mix, and yes she is as spoiled and pampered as any other child. She enjoys the outdoors and fellowship with friends.
Congratulation to King Terry and Queen Renee
